Celebrated
for her accomplishments as a professional woman
and a community advocate, Assistant Executive
Director Naomi Quiring-Mizumoto was honored
as one of Marjaree Mason Center’s Top
Ten Professional Women of 2007.
Before a crowd of nearly 700 people, Naomi
was recognized for her dedication and commitment
to providing educational opportunities and improving
the quality of life for young children residing
within Fresno County.
She was commended for her drive and passion
for early child development and education including
her role in orchestrating a partnership assuring
hundreds of uninsured children access to health
insurance and an array of resources, her volunteerism,
and her inspirational leadership style.
Her journey here, at our Agency, began nearly
30 years ago when she served as a nutrition
assistant in the Head Start program. She was
promoted to nutrition supervisor, then Head
Start manager, and, in 2000, was promoted to
Assistant Executive Director where she oversees
Early Head Start, Head Start, and School Age
Child Care programs.
