- Turning Point of Central California
- Domestic Violence Roundtable
- Child Abuse Review Team (CART)
Best advice ever received: A close friend once told me to go to college!
Favorite advice I give: “Get your education! It’s the one thing no one can take away from you.”
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: Javier’s on Kings Canyon
Proudest moment: My proudest moment was the birth of my son.
Greatest personal accomplishment: My greatest personal accomplishment was the day I received my badge. It represented my hard work and years of struggle (working full-time and going to school.)
Dream vacation: My dream vacation is simple … spending a week in San Diego; eating at fine restaurants in the Gas Lamp District or Old Town San Diego.
Favorite weekend activity: On the weekends, I enjoy doing nothing! I like having a cup of coffee, going for a nice morning walk, watching a matinee and relaxing.
Last good movie I saw: Indiana Jones … with an alternate ending
Scariest experience: I would say that my scariest experience was climbing Morro Rock (when it was legal to do so).
If I had a million dollars I would … buy my dream house! I already one in mind.

Favorite childhood memory: I remember my grandmother from Texas would bring us gifts/toys for Christmas.

In my spare time … play music; I’m in a band.
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … you are never too old to learn new things.
Anything else you’d like us to know? I have a 15-year-old son that I’m raising and a quickly learning there are many challenges in raising a teenager; I’ve been told more challenges may be in store! I want to be a great role model for him.
I’m also a teacher at the Marjorie Mason Center and at the national level. I help educate parolee agents, case managers, and others in the issues of domestic violence and stalking.
