Greatest personal accomplishment: “When I was working with refugees abroad coming from Afghanistan relocating them to India.”

Favorite weekend activity: “Spending time with family and I have a passion for gardening.”

Last good movie: “In America”—Independent film.

Scariest experience: “Probably after 9/11. Looking Middle Eastern, I didn’t leave the house and had to be aware of attacks. The change went on for about 2 months.”

If I had a million dollars I would… “I’d give it to charity.”

Favorite place to shop: “I like J.Crew and Banana Republic.”

Favorite childhood memory: “I was so fortunate to be a kid. I have so many. We used to play where there were peach orchids. I just remember laughing and having so much fun. When we migrated to the US, our family would pack up on the station wagon. My parents always have been fond of traveling.”

I admire… “The common aspects of an individual…. Perseverance, integrity and honesty.”

I like to read or watch: “I like non-fiction. I like to stay outside the norm.”

Favorite music or artist: “Anything from Mozart to Reggae. KIRTAN, type of Indian music.”

In my spare time… “I go crazy in my spare time. I need to be doing something.”
