First Job: Repaired windows and auto glass for my father’s business.
Birthplace: Evanston, Illinois
Years at FCEOC: 1-year, 4-months
Best advice ever received: Don’t try to change everything – some things are done a certain way for a reason.
Favorite advice I give: Don’t be quick to judge somebody – first impressions are often wrong.
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: The best food is what my wife and I create in our kitchen, but I haven’t been quite able to duplicate restaurant sushi… yet.
Proudest moment: I don’t really have one, but I am very proud every time my wife gets an award or medal in her military career because I have encouraged and assisted her along the way.
Greatest personal accomplishment: Earning a college degree.
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: Exploring the small villages and castle ruins of Europe.
Favorite weekend activity: Bicycling
Last good movie I saw: I like movies that have believable characters in believable situations – I haven’t seen a good movie in a long time.
Scariest experience: Hitchhiking on a remote German Autobahn at 3:00 AM.
If I had a million dollars I would… Carefully invest it for an early retirement. (If I had 2 million dollars, I would retire immediately.)
Favorite place to shop: The Internet – where else?
Favorite childhood memory: Weekends at my grandparent’s.
Words that describe me best: Considerate, friendly, conscientious
I like to watch: Science, history, news, comedy
In my spare time… I like to make things out of wood.
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is… No situation is perfect… life is much less stressful if you just make the best of your current circumstances because nothing is permanent.
