Employment & Training-Workforce Connection
Program Assistant III
First Job: H & R Block-- Receptionist
Birthplace: Fresno, CA.
Years at FCEOC: 8 yrs.
Best advice ever received: “Live in
the moment!” “Just let it go!—don’t
hold on to grudges.”
Favorite advice I give: “What goes
around comes around”. Whether you are doing a good deed
or bad, eventually it will be returned to you.
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food:
Edo-ya, my Aunt’s enchiladas, and McDonald’s fries
Proudest moment: Graduating from college
Greatest personal accomplishment: My mother’s
kidneys were failing and I was able to donate one of mine.
She truly enjoys her life and that is greatest “thank
you” I could ask for.
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation:
A family vacation to Hawaii. My dream vacation is to go to
an all-inclusive resort on a beach and have margaritas served
to me all day!
Favorite weekend activity: Hanging out with
my family and/or friends
Last good movie I saw: Hairspray
Scariest experience: A car accident in 1987
with my parents and my aunt. We were traveling to Texas and
just made it to Bakersfield. A tire from the overpass hit
our car and nearly missed my aunt and mother. We were scared
but no major injuries.
If I had a million dollars I would…
Pay off my debts, buy my parents and myself new cars and take
my family on a much needed vacation!
Favorite place to shop: TARGET!
Favorite childhood memory: While living
in Maryland we would often go to Washington D.C,--I loved
being in the city. We had an opportunity to go to the White
House and participate for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. That
is one experience I will never forget.
Words that describe me best: Honest, dedicated,
trustworthy and silly
I like to watch: I’m a TV junkie,
you name it, I’ve probably watched it.
In my spare time… go to the movies,
hang out with my boyfriend and his daughter, have a “girls
night” with my friends, hang out with my family and
friends
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is …
I’m still learning! I am constantly learning from my
family, friends and co-workers. Through their experience and
wisdom I have learned so much and continue to do so.
