First Job: Grocery store cashier

Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois

Years at EOC: 3 years

Best advice ever received: “Pray and trust God always.”

Favorite advice I give: “Think about what you’re doing and how it’s affecting your life.”

Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: Vegetarian Salad at Chipotle Grill

Proudest moment: I don’t have a proudest moment; I have a lot of grateful ones.

Greatest personal accomplishment: Raising a functioning autistic child against medical wisdom that said it was impossible.

Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: a family trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, a few years ago

Favorite weekend activity: going to church and eating out with my sons and friends

Last good movie I saw: The Bourne Ultimatum or Leatherheads

Scariest experience: An emergency landing in an 8-seater plane that had lost its front landing gear

If I had a million dollars I would … tithe and give to my church, buy a house, invest most of the rest and keep working.

Favorite place to shop: Gottschalk’s and Penney’s for my sons

Favorite childhood memory : the day a neighbor lady paid for decorations and a cake so that I could have a tenth birthday party

Words that describe me best: Funny, direct, honest - a woman of faith

I like to watch: (TV) LOST

In my spare time … I do things with my sons: bowl, shoot pool and go out.

If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … l ife can be difficult and unfair, but God is always good.
