First Job: picking bell peppers
Birthplace: La Mesa, Texas
Years at EOC: 1 year
Best advice ever received: “Everything happens for a reason.”
Favorite advice I give: “If it is meant for you it will happen; if it’s not, nothing will happen.”
Proudest moment: the birth of my grandchildren
Greatest personal accomplishment: my kids
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: Texas with all of my kids and grandkids
Favorite weekend activity: staying home and babysitting my grandkids
Last good movie I saw: The Notebook
Scariest experience: it was snowing during one of our trips to Phoenix, Arizona; we were driving but couldn’t see the lines and there was no where to stop. We followed a semi that took us to the next town where we stayed until it stopped snowing.
If I had a million dollars I would … pay off my bills and give each of my kids and parents money to pay off their homes.
Favorite place to shop: Marshalls and Ross
Favorite childhood memory: every Friday my dad would take us to Foster’s Freeze; we’d take our order across the street to the park (in Selma) and eat it there.
Words that describe me best: homebody
I like to watch: romantic movies
In my spare time … I baby sit so my kids can go out and have time by themselves.
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … be patient.
