First Job: My first working experience was picking grapes.
Birthplace: I was born in small village called Ocotepec, Mexico. It is located in the middle of the mountains where there is no electricity or roads to travel on; you only can travel by horses or donkeys.
Years at EOC: 8 years; I started working here part-time in 2001 and became full-time in 2003.
Best advice ever received: “Get educated because with education you can accomplish your goals.”
Favorite advice I give: “If you want someone to help you, you need to help others.”
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: My favorite restaurant is Las Adas Manzanillo Mexican Restaurant.
Proudest moment: My proudest moment was when I bought a house.
Greatest personal accomplishment: being the first person in my family to graduate from a university
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: My dream vacation is to go to Rome, Italy.
Favorite weekend activity: b asketball and volleyball
Last good movie I saw: Bajo La Misma Luna (Under the Same Moon)
Scariest experience: My scariest experience was when a police cruiser crashed into me in Tijuana, Mexico, in 2001. I was driving my cousin’s Toyota truck when a police cruiser crashed into me. They did not see me in the left lane when they turned.
If I had a million dollars I would … p ay for my house and travel with my mother to Mexico whenever she wants so she can see her daughter and grandchildren.
Favorite place to shop: My favorite place to shop is JCPenny.
Favorite childhood memory: I remember having a lot of with my cousins. We would hang out in the m ountains and in the river while tending to the cows, horses, sheep and goats.
Words that describe me best: honest and humble
I like to watch: something that is motivational and inspirational
In my spare time … I like to listen to music because it relaxes me.
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … that the education is the key to success.
