First Job: working in the field with my family (aunts, uncles, and my cousins)
Birthplace: Mexico City, Mexico
Years at EOC: about 4 months
Best advice ever received: “You cannot change or fix the world unless you can see your own flaws and fix yourself first.”
Favorite advice I give: “Don’t judge people unless you are ready to be judged yourself as everyone is entitled to making their own mistakes.”
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: Red Robin’s Bonsai Burger
Proudest moment: being with my sister Mari when she gave birth to her son
Greatest personal accomplishment: earning respect and trust from my family, friends and co-workers
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: I visited a great friend in Okinawa, Japan. I had the best time ever…I didn’t want to leave.
Favorite weekend activity: Family BBQs
Last good movie I saw: Watchmen
Scariest experience: While traveling in Maryland we hit black ice, spun out of control, and crashed into the center divider; we bounced off the center divider and eventually stopped, thanks to the railing. We then had to run, in the snow, from the car before the next car – which was headed in our direction and spinning out of control – crashed into us. Just as we thought everything was okay and help was on the way, we watched the emergency response unit also lose control.
If I had a million dollars I would … pay off all my debt and save the rest for when I’m older and can retire and be a world traveler.
Favorite place to shop: Ann Taylor, Amazon.com and Zappos.com
Favorite childhood memory: family gatherings at Avocado Lake
Words that describe me best: witty, friendly, logical, considerate and caring
I like to watch: I don’t watch much TV but I enjoy Big Bang Theory, Two and Half Men and CSI Miami.
In my spare time … I sleep, play with my pup Apollo and spend time at my parents’ house.
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is… you can’t control everything in life but when it comes to picking-up the pieces you only need a few friends to help out and make it entertaining.
