Andrea Sharpe
Sanctuary Transitional Living Center-2
Case Manager |
First Job: I worked as a kitchen/janitorial staff person at a summer camp. It was hard work but we had lots of fun during our breaks.
Birthplace: Fresno, CA
Years at EOC: about 3 years; I worked at TLC-3 for about 1 year, left EOC, and then came back about a year later. I have been at TLC 1 & 2 for about 2 years now.
Best advice ever received: “Stick with it! Don’t give up!”
Favorite advice I give: “All you can expect out of life is what you put into it.”
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: I love ALL food. My grandma’s macaroni salad and my mom’s cheesy potatoes are on the top of my list.
Proudest moment: having my two sons – Lucas (2 ½) and Benjamin (1 ½)
Greatest personal accomplishment: knowing that I work hard to provide the best life for my boys.
Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: tropical beach resort where I could just lay on the beach and drink a cold fruity drink
Favorite weekend activity: t aking my boys to the park and having family BBQ’s
Last good movie I saw: He’s Just Not That Into You
Scariest experience: When I was in 6 th grade, I was home alone when our house got broken into. It was very scary but fortunately when the robbers heard the TV, they got scared too and ran.
If I had a million dollars I would … buy a house, take a vacation (or two), then put aside money for retirement and for my children’s education.
Favorite place to shop: Target… they sell everything there! It is a true one-stop shop for me. I can buy clothes, houseware, movies, diapers, and groceries all in one!!!
Favorite childhood memory: p utting on talent shows with all the neighborhood kids for our parents at our regular neighborhood BBQ’s
Words that describe me best: I can be shy and timid at times, but once you get to know me, I can be funny and wacky.
I like to watch: girly things… Dancing with the Stars and Ugly Betty.
In my spare time … I like to take naps, watch chick flicks, hang out with family
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is… Work hard and be patient, good things will come in time.
