First Job: Babysitter

Birthplace: Fresno, California

Years at EOC: 3 wonderful years but I fell in love with our program in 2004 when my son attended Head Start

Best advice ever received: “Look at the world through the eyes of a child.”

Favorite advice I give: “Use your gifts wisely.”

Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food: I love seafood…shrimp, crab, or lobster are my favorites and I love Yoshino’s :)

Proudest moment: Birth of my children and when my parents became U.S. citizens.

Greatest personal accomplishment: Graduating from Fresno Pacific University

Best vacation I’ve taken/dream vacation: 2 weeks in Oahu, Hawaii; dream vacation would be to go to Disney World with my family

Favorite weekend activity: Going to the movies or for a nice drive to the coast with my family, and watching my children play sports activities.

Last good movie I saw: Our Family Wedding

Scariest experience: Riding the Superman ride at Magic Mountain

If I had a million dollars I would … Wow! I think I would do a million different things; but, the first thing I would do is build/create an enrichment center/program for children with special needs and their families’ ages 0-99; and implement more recreational activities for children/youth in rural communities.

Favorite place to shop: Target and Costco

Favorite childhood memory: Family barbecue’s, roller-skating around the neighborhood, and greeting my dad when he came home from work :)

Words that describe me best: Enthusiastic, optimistic, and faithful! I love to learn and teach what I learn.

I like to watch: The San Francisco Giants and the Oakland Raiders!

In my spare time … I love taking pictures and scrapbooking.

If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … My favorite Hebrew Proverb sums it up beautifully…”A child is not a vessel to be filled but a lamp to be lit.”
