Early Head Start
Family Development Specialist |
First Job: My first “paid” job was with a Summer Youth Program when I was in high school.
Birthplace: Omaha, NE
Years at EOC: 4 years
Best advice ever received: “The happiest people don’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have.”
Favorite advice I give: “Plan ahead if possible and always have a plan B.”
Favorite restaurant, dish, or pig-out food : Italian and Thai food
Proudest moment: when I had my daughter
Greatest personal accomplishment: receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from Fresno State
Best vacation I’ve taken: A 4-day cruise to Mexico on my honeymoon.
Last good movie I saw : The Blind Side
Scariest experience: going into labor
If I had a million dollars I would … pay off all my debts, buy a house, take a nice vacation, and invest.
Favorite place to shop: Target
Favorite childhood memory: When I was 3 or 4 years old, my dad made us a sled. Excited to test it out, my brothers, cousins and I managed to squeeze on the sled (5 children). Being the smallest and sitting in the middle, I was able to feel the adrenaline rush as we rode down the hill. Unfortunately, that ended when we suddenly hit a tree.
Words that describe me best: Friendly, determined, happy, and a hard worker.
I like to watch: So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, America’s Got Talent
In my spare time … I spend it with my husband and daughter
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it is … enjoy every moment with loved ones because time flies, and worry less about all the “little stuff.”
