Administrative Professionals Day was originally created in 1952 by the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Celebrated on the Wednesday of Administrative Professionals Week – the last full week in April – it’s a day set aside for honoring those wonderful dedicated people who do so much to keep businesses running at peak efficiency.
Joe Fuentes…
Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty
Transit Driver Joe Fuentes was driving his route in Firebaugh when he came upon a chaotic scene – a young girl lying on the ground after falling out of the window of a second story apartment.
Joe’s emergency response training immediately kicked in; he took charge of the accident scene, instructing bystanders not to move the child and called 911. He then rushed to the child’s side, comforting and reassuring her that help was on its way.
It was during this time that Joe learned the girl was bouncing on a bed near the window when she lost her balance and fell through the screen. Emergency personnel’s initial prognosis was multiple broken bones.
Joe’s immediate response and action is a testimony to his emergency response training and genuine concern for others. Controlling the accident scene, making the emergency call and comforting the victim, minimized the injuries to the little girl.
Join us in recognizing Joe Fuentes for going above and beyond the call of duty!!
