Local Conservation Corps’ (LCC) Basketball All Stars took Churches Alliance Through Youth Basketball (CATYB) by storm. The nine-member basketball team brought home the golden egg – a first place trophy in the teen division.

“We stress hard work, teamwork, and competitiveness on the court and in life as a means of getting ahead,” says team coach and LCC Corps Member Development Facilitator Al Boyd. He continues, “This team is a testament of our youth development at LCC; offering our corpsmembers a recreational outlet as well as an opportunity for employment and education.”

The team was recognized during an awards ceremony late last month. Coach Boyd was also honored with a plaque for his efforts and dedication.
