| Standing before a crowd of 600 business men and women, Executive Director Roger Palomino spoke of our Agency’s workforce development efforts during the Economic Development Corporation’s annual lunch.
Mr. Palomino highlighted our Local Conservation Corps, an employment and training based program that offers at-risk young adults opportunities to gain job skills as well as earn their high school diploma or GED. He also spoke about the importance of increasing access to health services to employees. “A healthy employee is a productive employee,” he said
Other panelists sitting alongside Mr. Palomino included: Dr. Thomas Crow, Chancellor, State Center Community College District; Blake Konczal, Executive Director, Fresno County Workforce Investment Board; Tracewell Hanrahan, Executive Officer – School Leadership, Fresno Unified School District – Career Technical Education; and Valerie Vuicich, Director, Fresno Unified School District – Regional Occupation Program.
