| _M.jpg) A fire at the Brooks Head Start center forced almost a dozen staff members out of the building Tuesday morning. Staff evacuated quickly, implementing the fire drill routine practiced monthly.
Children were not in school this week due to maintenance and cleaning of the center.
The Brooks Head Start center, which is located off of Weber north of Olive, will remain closed until further notice. Head Start staff is assessing the situation and will determine how to best continue services to the children and families from that area.
