Saluting Our Veterans

They defend our country from all enemies foreign and domestic and risk their life to ensure our country’s freedom. This Veterans Day, we would like to thank our veterans, and their families, for all they sacrifice for their fellow Americans.

Specifically, we would like to thank veterans who are part of our EOC family:

  • Mr. Leon Miles, father of Finance’s Judi Bean; served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1942 – 1946. Mr. Miles was on the U.S.S. Snowden Destroyer Escort 246.
  • Captain James A. Wayne, Sr., brother of Finance’s Shirley Wayne; served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1963 – 1968. He was ordered to command a special operation team in South Vietnam along the Cambodian-Vietnam border.
  • Lieutenant Cade Hines, spouse of Sanctuary’s Stacie Hines; has served in the United Stated Navy for 8 ½ years. Lt. Hines, a Navy pilot, flies F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in Lemoore.
  • Information Technician Second Class (IT2) Tom Lu, a case manager at TLC 3, has served in the US Navy Reserve since June 2001. Mr. Lu participates in drills one weekend per month and participates in annual training two consecutive weeks per year.
  • Robert Alan Perez, Jr ., and his brother, Anthony John Perez joined the Army in 2001 and 2005, respectively. The Perez brothers are step sons of Employment & Training’s Mark Rocha. Robert has served one tour of duty in Iraq; both men are scheduled to depart to Iraq in March 2009.
  • Staff Sergeant Robert Miller, spouse of TLC’s Melissa Miller; served in the United States Air Force from 2002 – 2008.
