A decades-theme dance competition, crowning of the King and Queen of the Era during the first ever Holiday Party costume contest, and a marriage proposal were just some of the highlights of this year’s annual Holiday Party.

Santa Clause greeted over 150 Agency employees, Board Commissioners, and guests as they gathered in the Banker’s Ballroom to celebrate and kick off the holiday season. The evening started with a bang as Jesus Rodriguez, five year boyfriend of Employment and Training’s Elva Avila, stood before the room, pronounced his eternal love for Elva, dropped to one knee, and proposed.

The theme of this year’s event, Back to the Future, gave party goers the perfect excuse to dress up – in costume – and shimmy to some old dance tunes and moves such as the electric slide, the twist, and the jitterbug.
