SOUL Stingers Give Thanks

By Rena Failla, SOUL

The School of Unlimited Learning (SOUL) celebrated Thanksgiving in true SOUL spirit with staff, students, family, and friends. More than 200 guests enjoyed turkey, stuffing, and all the holiday fixings. Each student participated in the making of an “Appreciation Video” that was shown to their families during the luncheon; they gave thanks for all the blessings they have in their lives. Proudly, SOUL was counted among those blessings. The students also honored the staff in a special presentation they created to express their appreciation for the support and assistance they have received as they progress toward their educational goals.

It was a warm and friendly celebration. Family pictures were taken, and laughter was heard throughout the afternoon as everyone came together to share the meal. We were honored to have the assistance of EOC Commissioners and SOUL Governing Council Members who served the food and spread the holiday cheer. It is truly a favorite annual holiday tradition for SOUL— one that students and their families remember for years to come.
