Medical Provider Network - The SCIF Medical Provider Network (MPN) is made up of a group of physicians and other medical service providers within your area, who primarily treat occupational injuries and other providers who specialize in general areas of medicine. If necessary, the MPN will provide specialists to treat your injury or illness.

If your injury or illness is due to employment, the SCIF MPN physicians and other medical providers will provide authorized medical treatment. These medical providers will provide quality medical treatment based on the utilization schedule developed by the Administrative Director of the Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC).

Reporting Work-related Injuries or Illnesses - If you suffer an injury or illness that is work-related you must immediately notify your supervisor, who will then contact Human Resources.

Your supervisor will provide you with paperwork that you are required to complete, including a DWC 1 claim form on which you must describe the circumstances of the injury. You will then be directed by the Human Resources Office to a FCEOC Occupational Medical Provider that is listed in the SCIF MPN.
