Our Executive Director, Roger Palomino, and Associate Executive Director, Allysunn Williams, were in Sacramento earlier this week advocating for our Agency, our programs, and upcoming projects.

The two met with representatives from the offices of our elected officials, the Governor’s Office, and the Departments of Education, Health Care and Parks and Recreation to discuss items including: availability of funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the Economic Stimulus package); potential charter school and school-age child care funding; grants for expansion of Health Services; and the possibility of partnering with the Department of Corrections in developing a re-entry center in Fresno, to name a few. The two were also a voice for the thousands of farmworkers in western Fresno County affected by the drought.
