They put the pedal to the medal! During last week’s board retreat, board commissioners and staff alike looked for ways to transform our Agency from the good organization it is to great organization it can become.

The retreat, themed “Transformation … From Poverty to Prosperity,” focused on the strategic planning process, the 2009 – 2011 Community Action Plan, and the roles and responsibilities of our commissioners.

After hours of planning, goal setting, and workshops focused on the Agency’s growth, participants let their hair down and enjoyed a special concert. During Transformation Rocks – a karaoke face-off - individuals and groups transformed into the B-52’s, The Beatles, The Charlie Daniels Band, MC Hammer, The Village People, Aretha Franklin, and The Blues Brothers.

Our special thanks to staff who made this retreat possible, as well as board commissioners and staff who sacrificed time with their family in order to make our Agency a bigger, and better place.
