| _M.jpg) Learning about the future of social service programs under the Obama Administration and expectations for how American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) dollars should be spent was the focus of the annual National Community Action Foundation (NCAF) Legislative Conference in Washington D.C.
Our Executive Director, Roger Palomino, and Associate Executive Director, Allysunn Williams, who attended the conference, heard from dignitaries including David Obey (D-WI), Congressman and Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts, and Secretary of Energy Dr. Steven Chu, to name a few.
The trip concluded with a trip to Capitol Hill where Mr. Palomino advocated on behalf of EOC and Community Action Agencies across the country. |
