| Our Agency continues to lead the effort in providing aid to western Fresno County families affected by the drought and economic downturn. This month, we will host distributions in the communities of Firebaugh, Huron, Mendota, and San Joaquin. Thanks to a matching contribution by an anonymous donor, 500 additional households in each community – a total of 1,000 households per site – will receive a box of nutritious food that includes: 2.5 pounds of beans, rice, and macaroni; poultry; ground turkey; juice; chicken bullion; chili powder; mayonnaise; cereal; snacks; and fresh vegetables.

These food drives are made possible by corporate and individual donations made to our Agency’s Crisis Relief Fund. Established in 2008, the Crisis Relief Fund helps Fresno County residents affected by natural disasters. The Crisis Relief Fund is operated by our Agency and counseled by an advisory committee comprised of concerned citizens and city officials from impacted communities. Donations can be made online at www.eoccrisisrelieffund.org. |
