Maybe you’re looking for a gift for a baby shower, birthday, or Father’s Day; or, a simple present to tell someone you’re thinking about them. You can do all your springtime shopping during Foster Grandparent Program’s ‘Books Are Fun” fundraiser taking place today, in the courtyard of the 1900 building between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.
Your generosity provides funding for recognition events to acknowledge the valuable contribution our grandparent volunteers bestow toward enriching the lives of disenfranchised youngsters throughout Fresno County. These senior volunteers commit their love and wisdom, heartfelt nurturing, life skills mentoring, and literacy tutoring to support at-risk infants, children, teens, and young adults enrolled in local elementary and middle schools, and our Agency’s School Age Child Care, Head Start, and Local Conservation Corps/AmeriCorps programs, Sanctuary, and SOUL, to name a few.
The grandparent volunteers and the Foster Grandparent Program staff sincerely appreciate your support!
