The Diversities II start the season 2-0 after a close victory against the New Comers. With the score tied 1-1 in the 6th inning, the DIIs managed to put a runner on 3 rd base with no outs. The leadoff batter hit a deep fly ball that allowed the DII’s to take a 2-1 lead.

Heading into the 7th and final inning, the New Comers had one last shot to tie the game. With two outs, and a runner on first base, the New Comers hit a deep fly ball to left-center field. Knowing that the ball had to be caught to preserve the victory, the DII fielder dove at the last second to seal the 2-1 victory.

The Diversities(2-0) look forward to this Friday’s game (6.26.09) when the team takes on the Hard Hitters(0-2). Game starts at 7:00 p.m. and will take place on Field 3.
