The DII’s ended the summer season with a 12-11 victory over the Hard Hitters. This triumph avenged a 11-9 loss to the team in week 3.

Up by only two runs and heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, the DIIs knew they needed to do everything possible to ensure the Hard Hitters would not score. The DIIs were able to get two quick outs but allowed the Hard Hitters one run in the process. The DIIs stared both victory and defeat in the face; they were up by only one run, the Hard Hitters had two outs but a runner ready to score on third base. Eager to win, the Hard Hitters batter swung with all his strength but a pop up to the DII’s catcher ended their dream, the game, and the summer season.
