Board Chair Takes a Bow

After serving our Agency as Board Chair for 12 years, Moses Stites announces his resignation.

During his last Board Commissioner meeting, Moses credited board commissioners for the success and growth of our Agency and thanked each one for their contributions of time, energy, and financial donations.

He also took a moment to thank all of our Agency’s staff for their commitment and dedication to our mission. “You cannot ask for a better staff; they are considered amongst the best in the country,” he said. “With their daily challenges and accomplishments that they make – whether it is the unsung heroes in accounting that are crunching the numbers and putting out monthly reports to all the … individuals tending to LIHEAP, WIC clients and [so many more]. They are simply amazing.”

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Reverend E. Swillis said, “You’ve been an excellent chairmen. You served well, we are sad to see you leave but we do wish God’s speed upon you. Always remember we are still your friends. You’ve done a good job and I want to thank you for your service.”

Other Board Commissioners echoed Commissioner Swillis’ sentiments, stating that Moses’ replacement will have very difficult shoes to fill and that he served as a mentor to serveral incoming Commissioners.

Thank you for your vision, energy, and 18 years of service and dedication to our Agency. We wish you all the best in all your future endeavors.
