| Last month, Sanctuary Youth Services clients participated in a point-in-time survey of sheltered homeless individuals and families as part of an on-going collaboration with the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care. The annual survey, mandated by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, is used to gather information necessary to secure funding to address poverty and homelessness in our community.
A total of 81 Sanctuary Youth Shelter, Transitional Living Centers, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program, and Fresno Housing Homeless Project participants were surveyed; they were asked questions regarding the cause of their homelessness as well as their immediate and long term needs.
Special thanks to Sarah Worthen, Sanctuary Supportive Services Coordinator, who lead the program-wide effort!
