Our Local Conservation Corps celebrated Valentine’s Day by giving from the heart! The first blood drive of the year at YouthBuild Charter School, which was themed “The more you give … more will live,” was held days just before Valentine’s Day.

Throughout the year, our young leaders are encouraged to give back to the community through meaningful service projects such as this blood drive. The event was a huge success thanks to participation from LCC and YouthBuild Charter School staff and Corpsmembers / charter students.

The event was part of the Community Service and Leadership class offered through the charter school.
