The Radisson’s Conference Center was buzzing with energy Thursday afternoon during our Agency’s annual Recognition Luncheon. Board Commissioners and executive and management staff, alike, were present to cheer on almost 200 employees who were being recognized for their years of service, perfect or exemplary attendance, or for going above and beyond their call of duty.

Keynote speaker Mary Ann Riojas, Easter Seals National Ambassador and a recipient of a home renovation by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, shared her inspirational story of personal obstacles and triumph. Riojas, who was born with a physical disability, says she never let her handicap dictate who she was. “We all have some kind of limitation,” she says. “But it is you who determines if those limitations become a barrier.”

Our annual Recognition Luncheon is a way for us to show you, our employees who work so diligently to make our Agency the great organization it is, how much your hard work and dedication is appreciated.
