A Night to Remember: SOUL Students Make Memories at Prom 2010

By: Rena Failla, SOUL Guidance Counselor

It was a night of magical memories! “Midnight in the Garden” was the theme of SOUL’s 2010 prom. Over 40 students arrived at the Holiday Inn Downtown for a night of dinner and dancing. The air of elegance was prominent with the young ladies in formal dresses, fancy hair-dos, and polished nails, while the handsomely dressed young men sported fresh haircuts and shiny shoes.

Quick Mix Entertainment got the party started with music that had everyone on their feet. The smiles and friendships were captured in timeless photos by Premier Studios School Photography. The staff enjoyed seeing a glimpse of the fine young adults that the students are becoming. Everyone was on their best behavior with a level of maturity and class that made staff proud.

The highlight of the evening was the crowning of this year’s prom king and queen, Ramiro Martinez and Desiree Lopez, who were voted by their peers and staff. It was truly a night to remember and a time that many students will look back on fondly for years to come.
