| Our Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP) has wrapped up their first “Mommy Talks” Parenting Series giving parents the tools to succeed as caring and knowledgeable parents.
“Mommy Talks” Parenting Series was an eight-week workshop where parents covered parent-friendly topics such as a baby’s physical development, tips on toilet training, discipline, teaching love, and how to deal with a toddler and the “terrible threes”. About 25 parents participated in the parenting series held at Manchester Center.
At the last workshop, 15 parents were honored for successfully completing the entire series. “I am very proud of our ‘Mommy Talks’ parents, completing this series reflects a commitment to their children,” says Christy Gorden, AFLP Program Manager. “The goal for this series is to not only to give parenting tips, but to learn how to bond with their child. This series is great for any beginning family.”
AFLP will host another “Mommy Talks” series in the Fall.
