|  Last week, the Firebaugh Food Distribution received a few more helping hands as our own Executive Director Brian Angus and our Board Chair Vong Mouanoutoua helped with handing off food and diapers to local families in need.
Food Distributions are held once a month in the towns of Firebaugh, Mendota, Huron, and San Joaquin. In partnership with the Community Food Bank, about 500 families will receive a box of nutritious foods including pastas, produce, canned goods, and poultry. Families with infants are able to receive 20 diapers and 80 babies wipes per family.
“Attending the Firebaugh Food Distribution was a great way to see first hand how EOC is helping low-income families in the rural valley,” says Brian Angus, Executive Director. “I’ve heard the success stories, but being able to witness it firsthand makes me proud to be part of this agency.”
