The new school year is just around the corner and our Head Start and Early Head Start Staff are gearing up for what’s to come during their annual three-day pre-service training. The annual training allows new and returning staff members to become acquainted with the Early Head Start and Head Start programs, with their colleagues, as they “hunt for perfection”.

This year’s jungle and safari theme made the pre-service fun and informative. Staff members enjoyed dressing in theme and participating in a comical fashion show. Head Starts Registered Nurses once again delivered a very creative bloodbourne pathogens training by combining a skit and video titled “The Pirates of the Well Being”. During the program, staff was informed of program updates, given refresher courses in sexual harassment and safety, and received specific job training.
