It’s Mexican Independence Day! There is no better way to celebrate the Mexican holiday then enjoying a delicious tamale. Remember to stop by the Casa de Tamales booth this weekend during the Mexican Independence Day Celebration at Fulton Mall running now through Sunday.

Casa de Tamales is a new Mexican restaurant, located on Shaw near Brawley in northwest Fresno, specializing in traditional and gourmet tamales. Their menu ranges from traditional tamales with Chicken & Mole sauce, sweet tamales with Blueberry & Cream Cheese, even gourmet tamales with Soy Chorizo & potatoes.

Elizabeth Sanchez, owner of Casa de Tamales, struggled to find financing for her startup business despite having great credit and a solid business plan. In May, our Community Development Financial Institution (Fresno CDFI) approved her for a business loan to purchase equipment, inventory, and to provide funds for working capital and salaries.
