| Families gathered in the 1920 Courtyard last week for a few hours of education, fun, games and giveaways during Early Head Start’s Annual Health Fair. Parents from our Head Start, Early Head Start and WIC programs, along with our employees, were excited to receive free information about health and nutrition services available to them and their children.
Martha Zarate with our Rural Tobacco Education program taught families about the harmful effects of tobacco while a representative with our Adolescent Family Life Program reached out to teen parents, inviting them to workshops aimed at developing and enhancing their parenting skills. Other programs and organizations included Central Valley Regional Center, Department of Public Health, West Fresno Health Care Coalition and Costco.
Kudos to Early Head Start’s staff on a job well done!
