Families grow healthy with WIC, and we are happy to be expanding our services with our two new sites on Ashlan and West and on Kings Canyon and Willow in Fresno. Our Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program celebrated their grand openings this past Thursday, and the neighborhoods couldn’t have been more welcoming.

Both current and new WIC clients toured the new offices and enjoyed healthy treats like mango salsa on whole wheat tortillas provided by our Food Services. Our Early Head Start, Head Start, Weatherization, LIHEAP, and our Health Services Clinic programs attended the grand openings and provided clients with information about services they could qualify for.

“We are very grateful to be in the neighborhoods,” says Linda Shelton, WIC Program Director. “Transportation and parking is definitely an issue in downtown Fresno and we hope that our new locations in Fresno are easier to access for clientele to come and utilize our services.”
