Members of the community came together last month to give Sanctuary and Youth Services’ Drop-In Center a little tender loving care.
As part of Serving Fresno Day, volunteers from HandsOn Central California and Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin’s Initiative on Service and Volunteerism arrived at Sanctuary and Youth Services’ Drop-In Center armed with energy and cleaning supplies. Together with clients from Sanctuary’s Outreach to the Streets and our Transitional Living Centers, volunteers swept, mopped, and vacuumed the Sanctuary building then took on other projects including organizing donations that took over a storage shed.
Sanctuary and Youth Services staff is grateful for the volunteers who took time to help beautify the Drop-In Center. The program is continuously looking for volunteers. Interested individuals can contact SOS AmeriCorps VIP Alphonso Russ at (559) 498-8543 x228 or via e-mail at alphonso.russ@fresnoeoc.org.
Sanctuary and Youth Services is also in need of donations. Please view our Wish List for a listing of items needed.
